This review compares resin-derived and biomass-derived carbon aerogels for supercapacitors and rechargeable batteries. Resin-derived aerogels offer high surface area and tunable pores but poor mechanical properties; biomass-derived aerogels are low-cost, sustainable, and mechanically stronger .
